- Technological materials
In the project curated by Marco Bonomo of the B Studio Interni firm, the Dekton® Morpheus surfaces become the common thread that defines the style of the entire penthouse.
The material, chosen for its technical performance and the refinement of its veining, offers an ultracompact surface that evokes the elegance of Statuario, while maintaining a discreet and luminous presence.
Thanks to its satin texture and light veining, Dekton furnishes without imposing, enhances light and gives the spaces a perfect balance between home warmth and contemporary simplicity.
Continuity between kitchen, living area and bathroom: the value of the surface
One of the most significant elements of the project is the ability of Cosentino surfaces to create a material continuity between spaces.
The same surface is in fact used for:
- kitchen countertop, backsplash and island;
- round dining table and serving cart;
- cladding of the TV unit, backlit panel and bookshelf shelves;
- bathroom furniture and the master bathroom’s monoblock sink.
This choice makes it possible to create a coherent interior where every element seems to converse with the others through a single ultracompact surface.

Dekton as an architectural material: aesthetics and performance
Dekton® by Cosentino is known for its ability to combine design, functionality and durability.
In the project, its versatility is amplified by the use of different thicknesses (8 mm, 12 mm, 20 mm), which allow the creation of light volumes, solid surfaces and integrated furnishings.
The material’s technical qualities include:
- resistance to stains, scratches, heat and impacts;
- very low liquid absorption;
- color and material stability;
- large formats that ensure visual continuity.
The result is a material capable of surpassing the role of a simple cladding, becoming a genuine design tool for interior designers and architects.
The monoblock sink: the surface as a functional sculpture
Among the most iconic applications of the project is the monoblock sink in the master bathroom.
Made entirely in Dekton Morpheus, the single block highlights the aesthetic strength and visual cleanliness of large slabs.
The surface satin finish allows the creation of a bathroom piece with a sculptural appearance, refined and perfectly integrated with the rest of the interior.

The project carried out by B Studio Interni highlights how Dekton® Morpheus surfaces can be applied transversally across the different areas of the home, from the kitchen to the living area and into the bathroom. The variety of thicknesses, the material stability and the aesthetic continuity of the slabs made it possible to develop integrated and customized solutions, demonstrating the material’s potential in contemporary interior configurations.
This case study offers an overview of the ways in which ultracompact surfaces are used today in residential projects, highlighting the design opportunities that such materials provide to architects and designers.
