RAK Ceramics and Roberto Cavalli: new luxury surfaces at Cersaie 2026

RAK Ceramics and Roberto Cavalli are launching a multi-year collaboration dedicated to the development of new ceramic surfaces and bathroom solutions that combine the aesthetic language of the Italian maison with the production and technological expertise of the ceramics company.

The partnership will be officially presented at Cersaie 2026, the International Exhibition of Ceramics for Architecture and Bathroom Furnishings, scheduled in Bologna from September 21–25, 2026. The agreement includes the development, production and distribution of Roberto Cavalli collections dedicated to ceramic tiles, sanitaryware and faucets.

For RAK Ceramics, the initiative continues a path of collaboration with the world of fashion and luxury design that had already led in 2021 to an agreement with Elie Saab.

The new Roberto Cavalli collection will join the House of Brands platform, through which RAK Ceramics develops collaborations with international fashion brands.

Luxury ceramic surfaces between fashion and interior design

The project is born from the meeting of two different languages: on one side the decorative identity of Roberto Cavalli, on the other RAK Ceramics’ research in the field of surfaces and solutions for interior design.

The objective is to transfer some of the aesthetic codes associated with the maison into the ceramic material, through veining, textures, color variations and decorative motifs.

The surfaces are conceived to become defining elements of the interior project, with applications aimed particularly at residences, hospitality and high-end contract spaces.

Among the first expressions of the collaboration are Onice, Onice Zebra Decor and Moonlight, three proposals that explore different relationships between material, color and decoration.

Onice: onyx-effect surfaces in large formats

The Onice collection interprets through ceramic the depth, color variations and luminosity of the stone of the same name.

Fluid veins cross the surface creating an aesthetic conceived for contemporary environments in which the cladding plays a central role in defining the space.

The onyx effect also allows the project to reference natural stone through the technical characteristics of the ceramic surface.

The collection is offered in the formats:

  • 120 × 120 cm – thickness 9 mm
  • 120 × 280 cm – thickness 9 mm
  • 60 × 120 cm – thickness 9 mm

The availability of the 120 × 280 cm format makes it possible to work with large ceramic slabs, reducing the visual fragmentation of the surface and enhancing the development of the veining.

Onice Zebra Decor: the animalier motif enters the surface

One of the elements that immediately makes the collaboration with Roberto Cavalli recognizable emerges in Onice Zebra Decor.

The variant combines the fluid appearance of onyx with a graphic motif inspired by the zebra’s coat, one of the visual references linked to the maison’s creative universe.

The contrast between the stone’s veining and the animalier design thus transforms the surface into a decorative element capable of characterizing walls and interior spaces.

Onice Zebra Decor is available in the format: 120 × 280 cm – thickness 9 mm.

Moonlight: large decorative surfaces inspired by light

With Moonlight, the collection takes on a different character.

Cool, luminous tones, color gradations and a composition with a painterly appearance build a surface inspired by the atmosphere of a Mediterranean landscape lit by moonlight.

The design softens contours and works on the layering of light and color, transforming the decorative ceramic surface into a scenographic element of the project.

Moonlight is offered in the format: 120 × 280 cm – thickness 9 mm.

The large format allows the design to develop across an extended surface, strengthening its impact in residential, contract and hospitality environments.

Ceramic surfaces become elements of interior design

The collaboration between RAK Ceramics and Roberto Cavalli fits into a broader trend that is changing the role of ceramic surfaces in interior design.

Ceramics is no longer used exclusively as a functional material for floors and claddings, but increasingly as an element capable of defining the identity of a space through color, texture, large formats and decorations.

The Onice and Moonlight collections interpret this approach through two different directions: on one hand the reference to natural material, on the other a more graphic and decorative surface.

The presence of Onice Zebra Decor also directly introduces one of the fashion brand’s most recognizable aesthetic codes, creating an explicit link between fashion and surface design.

RAK Ceramics at Cersaie 2026

The new collaboration will be among the novelties that RAK Ceramics will present at Cersaie 2026, scheduled at BolognaFiere from September 21 to 25.

The 43rd edition of the International Exhibition of Ceramics for Architecture and Bathroom Furnishings will bring together companies and international professionals from the fields of surfaces, bathroom furnishings and architectural finishes.

The presentation will therefore allow the new proposals born from the collaboration between RAK Ceramics and Roberto Cavalli to be seen in Europe for the first time, placing the project within the broader dialogue between ceramics, interior design and new languages of contemporary luxury.
